Samsung launches affordable A-Series phones in the UK

Samsung has introduced a new line of affordable Android phones in the UK. This release comes as an alternative for those who find the Galaxy S25 series too expensive. The Galaxy S25 starts at £799, while the Ultra model costs £1,249. In contrast, the new A-Series devices, which include the A56, A36, and A26, start at just £299. These budget-friendly phones still offer many great features, such as smart cameras and long battery life. The A36 is priced at £399 and the A56 at £499. They both have large 6.7-inch OLED screens, fast charging capabilities, and 256GB of storage. The cameras include a triple-lens setup with wide-angle and night mode options. Both models boast modern designs with matte edges and various colors. The A36 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, while the A56 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset for better performance. They also come with smart features like Object Eraser for photo editing and a new “best face” mode for group shots. Another significant advantage is that both the A36 and A56 will receive six years of Android and security updates. This means they will remain up-to-date until 2031.
