Samsung unveils Gauss 2 AI model with enhanced features and language support

Samsung has launched Gauss 2, its updated AI model, at the Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024. This new version offers improved performance and efficiency, aimed at enhancing productivity in tasks like email writing, translation, and text summarization. Gauss 2 comes in three variants: Compact, Balanced, and Supreme, each designed for different performance needs. The model supports 9 to 14 languages and various programming languages, depending on the variant. Additionally, Samsung introduced a coding assistant called ‘code.i.’ Despite these advancements, Samsung's recent earnings growth has been limited compared to competitors in the AI sector.
