San Francisco's top parking ticket hotspots revealed

San Francisco has identified the top five locations where parking tickets are frequently issued this year. From January to mid-March, parking officers handed out more than 234,000 tickets citywide. The area with the most tickets is the Embarcadero, with 1,223 citations. This busy stretch is popular with tourists, especially those visiting Alcatraz. Many ride-hailing vehicles also double park on bike paths here, which leads to many tickets. Drumm Street ranks second, with 681 tickets issued. Located outside the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, this area has strict no stopping and tow away zones. Most tickets are given for stopping in bus zones. Terry A Francois Boulevard follows in third place with 465 citations. This street is near Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. Many tickets here are issued for parking on public property, which has specific regulations. Channel Street is in fourth place with 200 tickets. Situated near Mission Creek Park, it's a short distance from Oracle Park. Drivers failed to pay parking meters most often, leading to citations. Finally, Bluxome Street has 194 tickets issued. Close to the CalTrain Station, this area also suffers from unpaid parking meters. The ongoing trend suggests that ticket numbers in 2025 could surpass last year's total of over 1.2 million.
