San Jose Sharks recall Jimmy Schuldt from AHL
The San Jose Sharks have recalled defenseman Jimmy Schuldt from their AHL team, the San Jose Barracuda. This move brings the total number of players on the Sharks' roster to 25, with eight of them being defensemen. Schuldt's recall comes after he spent just one day in the AHL. He has been on and off the Sharks' roster since March 3rd, with only four days away from the NHL lineup. Recently, he played in his first NHL game since the 2018-19 season. In March, Schuldt has participated in four games, averaging about 14 minutes and 36 seconds of ice time per game, but has a rating of -1. Throughout his time in professional hockey, Schuldt has not been known as a high-scoring defenseman but has displayed consistency. Since starting his career with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2019, he has scored 35 goals and 126 points in 345 AHL games. This gives him a career average of 0.37 points per game, slightly better than his current pace of 0.33 this season.
