Saniya Rivers leads NC State to Sweet 16 victory

Saniya Rivers made history during an NCAA Tournament game as she led NC State to victory over Michigan State. Rivers scored 17 points, made 11 assists, and grabbed eight rebounds. This impressive performance included two steals and two blocks, a combination not seen in an NCAA game in over 20 years. This win was particularly special for Rivers because it was her last game at NC State’s Reynolds Coliseum. She has had a strong season, averaging 11.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Her contributions helped secure NC State's status as a second seed in the tournament. With this victory, the Wolfpack advanced to the Sweet 16. They will face either third-seeded LSU or sixth-seeded Florida State on March 28. The upcoming game will be held at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington.
