Sarah Bock joins Severance cast as Miss Huang

Sarah Bock, an 18-year-old actress, joins the cast of the Apple TV+ series "Severance". She plays Miss Huang, the newest employee at Lumon Industries. Her character is intriguing and has a mysterious side, which fans will learn about as the show unfolds. Bock was inspired to act after seeing the Broadway musical "Matilda" when she was eight years old. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, she also excelled in tennis as a child, ranking in the top 40 for her age group. However, her passion for acting took center stage when she won a voiceover role for the popular "Baby Shark" song. Currently, Bock is a freshman at Northwestern University in Illinois, where she studies psychology and theatre. She auditioned for the role of Miss Huang at just 15 years old. During her junior year of high school, she began filming the show, even as she was deciding on her university. Coincidentally, co-star Britt Lower, a Northwestern graduate, encouraged her to apply to the school. Before her audition for "Severance", Bock had not seen any episodes of the series. To prepare, she binge-watched the show in a single day. She worked closely with producer-director Ben Stiller to develop her character through virtual meetings.
