Sarvam AI establishes Sarvam Labs for AI research in US

Sarvam AI has launched Sarvam Labs, a new research initiative based in San Francisco's Bay Area. The startup aims to focus on foundational research in artificial intelligence. Sarvam AI was founded in 2023 by Pratyush Kumar and Vivek Raghavan. Since its establishment, Sarvam AI has raised a total of $53.6 million, and its current valuation stands at $111 million. The company is working on developing an Indic foundational model. On March 18, Sarvam AI invited AI researchers and experts to attend the opening of Sarvam Labs. The goal of Sarvam Labs is to create a platform for collaboration. The initiative hopes to address challenges, share innovative research, and welcome feedback from the community. Sarvam AI aims to unite machine learning and AI experts to impact AI advancements in India and worldwide.
