Sascha Bailey shares gender identity struggles and reflections

Sascha Bailey, the son of famous photographer David Bailey, has shared his journey with gender identity. He talked about his struggles with gender dysphoria and how his father's support influenced his decisions. In 2022, Sascha was diagnosed as transgender and started taking female hormones. However, he paused his plans for gender-affirmation surgery after discussing his feelings with his father and girlfriend, Lucy Brown. Sascha recalls that his dad’s reaction was supportive but also lighthearted, calling him a "silly b*****" and showing pride in him. Now, as Sascha prepares to become a father, he has expressed strong opinions about children making major gender identity decisions. He believes minors should not be allowed to make irreversible choices about their bodies. “Kids have no control over their life," he said. "We must protect them from making bad decisions." Sascha is excited about fatherhood and has already chosen names for his child: Wolfgang for a boy and Ava for a girl. He mentioned that his father is also thrilled about the upcoming family addition, saying, "He’s happy there will be another moment for family."
