Saskatchewan Health Authority fires employees for alleged double dipping
Two former employees of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and the Health Quality Council (HQC) were fired for allegedly receiving pay from both their organizations and external employers simultaneously. One SHA employee, based in Prince Albert, was paid $2,018 while working elsewhere from September 2022 to December 2023. The SHA is considering repayment and further investigation. The second case involved a former HQC employee who earned $1,800 while also employed externally from January 2023 to June 2024. This employee resigned before the investigation concluded, so the case was not sent to police.
