Saudi Arabia begins construction of world's largest building Mukaab in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia has begun construction on the Mukaab project in Riyadh, a $50 billion initiative expected to be the world's largest building. The cubical structure will stand 1,300 feet tall and 1,200 feet wide, with a floor space equivalent to 20 Empire State Buildings. The Mukaab will include over 100,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, retail spaces, and green areas. It will feature virtual reality technology on its outer walls and AI-powered holographic projections inside. This project is part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, aimed at diversifying the economy beyond oil. It is expected to create approximately 334,000 jobs.
