Saudi Arabia is experiencing rainy weather, which is expected to last until the Eid Al Fitr festival next week. The holiday is anticipated to start on March 29, marking the end of Ramadan. A meteorologist from the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology, Aqeel Al Aqeel, stated that the rain began during Ramadan and will likely continue through Eid. Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecasted, especially in the central and eastern highlands, as well as in the Mecca region. The National Centre has issued warnings for thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds that may reduce visibility in seven regions. Areas such as Eastern Province, Riyadh, Najran, Jizan, Asir, Al Baha, and Mecca could experience these conditions starting Sunday. Additionally, active winds may cause sandstorms in Al Qassim, Medina, and along the coastal regions of Tabuk. Heavy rains were reported recently in western Saudi Arabia, particularly in Mecca, where videos showed pilgrims carrying out their rituals despite the downpour. The port city of Jeddah also faced flooding after heavy rains last week, with social media showing footage of flash floods in the area.
