SBI reduces reward points on SimplyCLICK, Air India cards

SBI Card is changing its reward structure for the SimplyCLICK and Air India credit cards. This will reduce the amount of reward points customers can earn on certain transactions. These changes will start between March 31 and April 1, 2025. For users of the SimplyCLICK SBI Card, online shopping on Swiggy will now earn 5X reward points instead of the previous 10X. However, customers will still get 10X points when shopping at other partner stores like Apollo 24x7, BookMyShow, and Myntra. Air India credit cardholders will see bigger cuts in their rewards. For the Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card, points for booking flights on the airline's website will drop from 15 to 5 points per ₹100 spent. Those with the Air India SBI Signature Credit Card will see their rewards fall from 30 to 10 points per ₹100 spent. These changes could affect frequent flyers who rely on these cards for Air India tickets. Overall, customers will earn significantly fewer points on their travel bookings. SBI Card has not announced any new rewards to balance these cuts. Cardholders might need to look for other credit cards or spending methods to maximize their rewards.
