Scotland to replace Attendance Allowance with new Pension Age Disability Payment in March
A new benefit called Pension Age Disability Payment will replace Attendance Allowance in 13 more areas of Scotland starting March 24. This payment, for those over state pension age needing extra help, ranges from £72.65 to £108.55 a week. Pension Age Disability Payment has already been introduced in some regions and will be available nationwide in Scotland from April 22. Current Attendance Allowance recipients will be automatically transitioned to the new payment without disruption. The new benefit aims to simplify the application process and provide better support for older disabled individuals. Those eligible are encouraged to apply for the Pension Age Disability Payment.
