Scott Presler backs JD Vance for 2028 election
Scott Presler, a prominent GOP activist, has announced his support for JD Vance in the upcoming 2028 presidential election. Presler, known for his role in helping Donald Trump win Pennsylvania, is working to mobilize voters for the Republican Party. After Trump lost Pennsylvania in the 2020 election, Presler established the Early Vote Action committee to encourage voter registration and turnout. His efforts have kept him active in GOP politics since then. Presler has a significant following on social media, boasting 2.2 million followers on X. Presler's backing of Vance comes as Vance's name gains traction among notable figures in the MAGA movement. Commentator Tucker Carlson believes Vance could be the leading candidate for the Republican nomination. Vance has expressed his willingness to serve the party over seeking higher office but has also noted that performing well in the next four years could lead to future opportunities. As President Trump cannot run for a third consecutive term due to the 22nd Amendment, the search for his successor is underway. During a recent interview, Trump acknowledged Vance's capabilities but did not see him as his successor. If Vance opts to run, he could announce his candidacy as early as November 2026.
