Scottie Scheffler is recovering from a hand injury caused by broken glass while preparing Christmas dinner. He underwent surgery and has been ruled out of the first PGA Tour event of 2025, The Sentry in Hawaii. Scheffler has also withdrawn from The American Express tournament, which runs from January 16 to 19. He aims to return for the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach, scheduled for January 30 to February 2. His manager stated that Scheffler should be back to full strength in three to four weeks. He was the top golfer in 2024, winning nine tournaments, including major championships.
