Seahawks sign tight end Eric Saubert to roster
The Seattle Seahawks have signed tight end Eric Saubert, the team announced on Monday. Saubert played for the San Francisco 49ers in the last season. He participated in all 17 games, making three starts and catching 11 passes for a total of 97 yards and one touchdown. Saubert was drafted in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons in 2017. He spent two seasons with Atlanta, followed by time with Chicago, Jacksonville, and Denver. Last year, he also played for Houston and Dallas before joining the 49ers in the offseason. In his NFL career, Saubert has played in 101 games, starting 19 of them. He has recorded 47 receptions for 389 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, he has been a key player on special teams, accumulating 1,753 snaps. Saubert will join other tight ends on the Seahawks, including Noah Fant, AJ Barner, and Brady Russell.
