Sean Duffy named as Trump's pick for transportation secretary
President-elect Donald Trump has selected Sean Duffy as his choice for transportation secretary. If confirmed, Duffy will manage a wide range of transportation systems, including pipelines, railroads, and mass transit, along with highway funding. Duffy, 53, previously served as a U.S. Representative from Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. He has been a prominent supporter of Trump on Fox News since 2020 and has a background in reality television. Before entering politics, Duffy was known for his campaign ads featuring lumberjack themes. He has nine children and previously declined a run for Wisconsin governor to focus on family responsibilities.
