Sean Ono Lennon honors father in new documentary release
Sean Ono Lennon shared his thoughts on a new documentary about his parents, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The film, titled *One to One: John & Yoko*, focuses on their artistic life in the 1970s. Sean, who is 49, expressed how meaningful it is for him to see and hear his father, who was killed in 1980 when Sean was just 5 years old. He mentioned that discovering new footage and audio of John is like getting more time with him. In a recent interview, Sean explained that the film captures his parents' bravery as they transitioned from musicians to activists. He highlighted their involvement with various social movements, noting that John started to feel fear about the violent paths some groups were taking. Sean emphasized that people often remember his father's activism, but he moved beyond those associations when he realized the potential for violence. Additionally, Sean opened up about how losing his father influenced his own music career. He said that learning to play John's songs helped him cope with the loss and feel connected to his father. *One to One: John & Yoko* is set to premiere in the U.K. on April 9, and it will be released in U.S. theaters on April 11, with more screenings to follow.
