Search for missing paddleboarder in Charlottetown Harbour

A search is currently happening for a man who went paddleboarding in Charlottetown Harbour. He was last seen early Sunday morning near Victoria Park. According to the RCMP, the man was spotted between 8 and 9 a.m. The last direction he appeared to be heading was towards the West River. Around 10 a.m., a paddleboard was found, but no one was on it. The man was reportedly wearing a full-body wetsuit and a life vest. The P.E.I. RCMP have shared a photo of him in an effort to gather information. Boats from local fire departments and a helicopter from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre are involved in the search. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Queens District RCMP at 902-566-7112.
