Season 8 of Drive to Survive filming in 2025
Netflix's popular series, Drive to Survive, is confirmed for an eighth season, which is currently being filmed. The show has greatly increased interest in Formula One since its debut in 2019. The production team gathers interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and racing highlights throughout the F1 season. Each season typically consists of ten episodes that focus on key storylines. The seventh season, which premiered on March 7, 2025, highlighted Lewis Hamilton's final season with Mercedes and Max Verstappen's journey towards a fourth consecutive championship. Filming for season 8 is taking place at various races, including the Australian and Chinese Grand Prix. This new season will feature Hamilton's first experience with Ferrari, but there will be no early footage of his transition since the crew was absent during those initial days. As for the release date, there is no official announcement yet, as filming has just begun. However, based on previous seasons, it is expected to air between late February and mid-March 2026, just before the new Formula One season starts.
