Second child dies from Oshawa house fire injuries

A second child has died after a house fire in Oshawa on March 12. The 12-year-old girl passed away in the hospital, following the deaths of her mother and 9-year-old sister. The fire also injured the girl's father, who is expected to survive. Durham Regional Police are investigating the incident, which is not currently considered arson. Post-mortem examinations showed no signs of foul play. Seven police officers were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family.
