Gurugram police have arrested a second suspect involved in the murder of a liquor trader, Baljeet Singh Yadav. The incident happened on Tuesday night at Yadav's farmhouse in Hayatpur, Sector 93. The suspect, identified as Mohit, comes from Beri Gate in Jhajjar. The first shooter, Tek Chand, also known as Mohit, was arrested a day earlier near Najafgarh in Delhi. Both suspects allegedly entered the farmhouse and shot Yadav multiple times while he was sleeping. Two others, Yadav’s relative Ram Kaushik and an employee named Ravinder Kumar, were also injured in the attack. Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said they are conducting further raids to catch more suspects connected to the murder. The investigation is looking into possible links to gangster Naresh Sethi, who is currently in jail and considered a key player in the case alongside other suspects. Sethi has been linked to a wider criminal network and is seen as a significant figure in the liquor trade dispute in the area. The police believe Yadav's entry into the liquor market harmed Sethi's interests, leading to the murder plot. Chand is also being questioned about his involvement in another shooting earlier this year. Police officials noted that he has been inconsistent in his statements but expect to clarify details through further interrogation. In light of the threats, authorities have provided security for Yadav's family.
