Security forces destroy IED in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir
Security forces in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) on Sunday. The Indian Army and Border Security Forces found the device in the Narikut forest area near the Line of Control. This operation follows previous incidents where security forces detected and destroyed IEDs in South Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama districts in February. In December 2024, another IED was destroyed in Pattan, Baramulla. The recent recovery highlights ongoing efforts by the Indian Army to prevent terror incidents in the region. Similar operations have occurred throughout the past year, with multiple IEDs being neutralized.
