Security forces destroy IED on Bandipora-Srinagar road
Security forces in North Kashmir's Bandipora district discovered and destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) on Wednesday. The IED was hidden in a pressure cooker along the Bandipora-Srinagar road. This operation helped prevent a potential tragedy. The army, working with local police, conducted a search operation in Aragam Bandipora. They found the IED and quickly acted to eliminate the threat. The army emphasized their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens in the region. This incident marks the third IED-related event in just four days. On Monday, security forces safely destroyed a suspicious object in Kulgam district. This followed another successful operation in Kupwara that took place the previous Sunday. Previous incidents in recent months also involved the detection and destruction of IEDs in various locations, including Shopian, Pulwama, and Baramulla. The consistent actions of security forces underscore their ongoing efforts to keep the region safe from terrorist threats.
