Seized 2,500kg rotten poultry in Riyadh storage facility
Saudi authorities have confiscated 2,500kg of rotten poultry from a storage facility in Riyadh. The facility was set up by a Saudi citizen and some illegal residents who were repackaging spoiled meat for sale. The suspects reportedly used household disinfectants to hide the signs of spoilage. They covered up discoloration and bad smells before putting fake labels and forged production dates on the products. During the raid, officials also seized over 100,000 counterfeit labels. In a separate incident, police arrested five people for stealing tyres from parked cars in Riyadh. The group included a foreign law violator, two Yemeni residents, and two Saudi citizens. Authorities are continuing to crack down on illegal activities across the kingdom and have now referred these suspects to public prosecution.
