Senate reserves Tolentino Room for VP Duterte's impeachment trial
The Senate has reserved the Tolentino Room for the prosecution in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. Senate Secretary Renato Bantug confirmed this during logistical preparations on Tuesday. Bantug highlighted the importance of keeping committee hearings running smoothly while preparing for the trial. He noted that room availability is limited, as the Senate moves forward into its session. The Senate session hall will serve as the main venue for the impeachment hearings, accommodating up to 370 people. Other rooms, like the Sotto and Quezon rooms, will also be used for related proceedings. Details about the defense panel's location are still being discussed, and those talks are ongoing. Bantug emphasized the need to ensure that committee rooms remain available alongside the preparations for the trial.
