Senior woman dies after being hit by truck

A woman in her 70s has died after being struck by a pickup truck in Toronto. The accident occurred on Friday, March 21, 2025, west of downtown. Police were called to the scene near King Street West and Massey Street around 3:30 p.m. The woman was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Sadly, she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene, according to police. Earlier that day, Toronto police also responded to another pedestrian accident in North York. Around 2:30 p.m., a woman in her 30s was hit by a vehicle near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue East. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the driver stayed at the scene.
