Seven arrested in Arani for murder charges

Seven people were arrested by police in Arani on Tuesday for the murder of a finance worker. The victim, A. Vignesh, was killed due to a previous conflict. Vignesh, 25, worked at a private finance firm and had been married with a daughter. He had a history with the suspects because he, along with friends, alerted the police about their friend B. Manikandan's illegal activities. Manikandan, who had a criminal history, was killed last year, and Vignesh was released on bail before starting work again. On Sunday, Vignesh went to Pudur village to meet the suspects for a discussion. The group was angry about their friend's death and attacked Vignesh, resulting in his murder. Police acted on the information gathered and registered a case. The seven suspects are now in custody at Central Prison in Vellore, and an investigation is ongoing.
