Seven more questionable names found in OVP fund recipients

House Deputy Majority Leader Francisco Paolo Ortega V has identified seven more questionable names among recipients of P500 million in confidential funds for the Office of the Vice President (OVP). This includes five individuals referred to as the “Dodong Gang.” Ortega noted that many of these names, including Dodong Alcala and Jay Kamote, lack official birth records. A verification request revealed that 1,322 out of 1,992 names on the recipient list had no records with the Philippine Statistics Authority. Ortega claims this raises concerns about the legitimacy of the fund distribution, suggesting a deliberate plan to misuse public funds. He stated that the findings could support impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte related to alleged fund mismanagement.
