Severe storm destroys chicken houses in Gordo, Alabama
A family farm in Gordo, Alabama, suffered major damage from severe storm winds on Saturday, March 15. The National Weather Service (NWS) is currently checking if a tornado was responsible for the destruction. Witness Mitchell Clayton Norred recorded a video showing strong winds sweeping across the Brown Family Farm. He described feeling the powerful winds as he tried to find safety in a relative's basement. The NWS has sent a team to investigate the situation in Pickens County. They will determine if the damage matches that of a tornado. Farmer Tim Brown reported that his farm lost four out of six chicken houses in just minutes during the storm. The destruction has left the family in a difficult situation.
