Severe thunderstorms and hailstorm forecast for Telangana

A storm with hail is expected in seven districts of Telangana on Saturday. The Chief Secretary, A. Santhi Kumari, is urging local officials to prepare for the bad weather. Following a hailstorm in Adilabad and Karimnagar on Friday, she emphasized the need for quick responses to protect residents. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert. This alert warns of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds between 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Warangal, Hanumakonda, and Jangaon districts. A yellow alert has been issued for other districts, forecasting similar storms but with slightly lower wind speeds. Districts under this warning include Adilabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, and several others. Local administrations must stay ready and report any damages caused by the weather to the government.
