Severe thunderstorms are affecting holiday travel in Texas, causing flight delays and cancellations. Over 100 flights were delayed and dozens canceled at major airports, including Dallas Fort Worth and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for several counties in southeast Texas, including the Houston area. The watch is in effect until 7:15 p.m. Thursday, with the highest risk for tornadoes and damaging winds forecasted east of Dallas. Meteorologists expect wind gusts between 60 and 80 mph and hail of one inch or more. The storms are expected to move into southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana later in the evening.
