Severe thunderstorms expected in Crawford and Erie counties
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Crawford and Erie counties until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The storms may bring nickel-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph, with thunderstorms moving northeast at 45 mph. Locations affected include Erie, Meadville, and Corry. Residents are advised to move to interior rooms on the lowest floor for safety. A Tornado Watch is also in effect until 4 p.m. for parts of northeastern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service warns of lightning risks and advises precautions during thunderstorms. Safety measures include avoiding outdoor activities, staying away from windows, and waiting 30 minutes after the last thunder before resuming outdoor activities.
