Severe Tropical Storm Nika maintains strength as it approaches Luzon
Severe Tropical Storm Nika, also known as Toraji, remains strong as it moves westward over the Philippine Sea. It is currently located about 500 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon, with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour. The Philippine weather agency has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 in several areas, while parts of northern Metro Manila are under Signal No. 1. Nika is expected to make landfall in Isabela or Aurora on Monday. After landfall, Nika will move across Northern Luzon and exit into the West Philippine Sea by Monday evening.
