Severe weather disrupts holiday travel with over 7000 flight delays in the US

Severe weather across the U.S. has caused significant travel disruptions during the holiday season. Over 7,000 flights were delayed and more than 200 canceled due to tornadoes in the southeast and heavy snow on the west coast. At least 10 tornadoes struck Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, resulting in one death and several injuries. Damage to homes and infrastructure has been reported, particularly in Brazoria County, Texas. In California, high winds and heavy rainfall are expected, with gusts reaching 150 mph in some areas. Forecasters predict up to 3 feet of snow in Lake Tahoe and widespread power outages may occur.
