Sharks sign Cameron Lund to entry-level contract

The San Jose Sharks have signed Cameron Lund to an entry-level contract. Lund was selected in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft. He is turning pro after three successful seasons at Northeastern University. During his junior year, Lund excelled with 40 points in 37 games. He scored 18 goals, leading his team. His performance earned him a spot on the third-team all-Hockey East selection. In the recent Hockey East tournament, Lund contributed with two goals and three assists. Lund, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs 195 pounds, completed his time at Northeastern with 36 goals and 93 points over 107 games. Sharks general manager Mike Grier praised Lund as a talented player who adds speed, size, and skill to the team. Lund will join the Sharks, but details on when he will arrive are still unclear. The Sharks have home games lined up next week against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers.
