Shaving cream removes carpet stains effectively in minutes
A new carpet cleaning hack suggests using shaving cream to remove tough stains quickly. Instead of investing in expensive cleaning products, you might already have the solution at home. Stains from drinks, food, or markers can be frustrating. Many people rely on chemical sprays or machines. However, a presenter from BBC’s "Sort Your Life Out" TV show shared a simple method using shaving cream. To start, lather the shaving foam onto the stain. The presenter recommended using the cheaper brands. Allow it to soak for about ten minutes. After this time, rinse it off with a wet cloth and a bowl of water. The stain should begin to lift. Shaving cream works well because it contains surfactants, which help dissolve stains. Most creams also have glycerin, which retains moisture and helps protect your carpet during cleaning. Additionally, some shaving foams contain triethanolamine, a gentle pH adjuster, and soothing agents like aloe vera. While shaving cream can be effective for spot cleaning, it might not be enough for a deep clean of your carpet.
