Sheikh Hasina refers to herself as prime minister in letter to Donald Trump
Sheikh Hasina, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, referred to herself as "Prime Minister" in a letter congratulating Donald Trump on his election as the 47th President of the United States. She praised Trump's leadership and expressed a desire to strengthen ties between Bangladesh and the U.S.
Hasina's letter was released by the Awami League, where she recalled her past meetings with Trump. She emphasized her commitment to working together to advance mutual interests.
Hasina was ousted from office in August amid protests and is currently living in a safe house in New Delhi. An interim government has been formed, led by Muhammad Yunus, who also congratulated Trump and expressed hopes for continued collaboration between the two nations.
