Shenzhou-19 crew completes third spacewalk successfully
The Shenzhou-19 crew has successfully completed their third spacewalk, known as extravehicular activities (EVAs), at 8:50 p.m. Beijing Time on March 21, 2025. This announcement came from the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). During this mission, astronauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze worked for about seven hours. Their tasks included installing devices to protect against space debris and inspecting equipment outside the station. They received help from the space station's robotic arm and a support team on Earth. Cai Xuzhe and Song Lingdong performed the spacewalks and have now returned safely to the Wentian lab module. Cai has completed five spacewalks, which is a record for Chinese astronauts. The Shenzhou-19 crew has been in space for nearly five months, and their scientific experiments are going well. They are expected to return to Earth in a little over a month.
