Shimla hosted a 'Happy Streets' event on Sunday, organized by The Times of India. The initiative aimed to create vehicle-free zones to foster community spirit and promote health and fitness. The event took place from 9am to 11am, outside the Sarvodaya Bal Ashram on Rockwood, Cart Road. Around 100 students from different schools, including IVY International School, participated along with their staff. Children engaged in various activities such as yoga, dance, and music, making the morning enjoyable. Mandeep Rana, the principal of IVY International School, highlighted the importance of sports and yoga in keeping youth away from drugs and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The goal of the event is to transform certain roads into traffic-free areas, encouraging outdoor activities.
