Shirley Lorraine Penrod, 88, of Portland, passed away on January 31, 2025, due to medical complications. She was born on August 16, 1936, and graduated from Deering High School in 1954. Shirley had a diverse education, attending several colleges and working in various roles, including as an office manager for Portland Public Schools. She was active in her community and enjoyed traveling, golf, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, William Jr., and grandchildren Erika, Emily, and William R. A celebration of her life will be held on August 16, with burial at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
