Shivling, Nandi idol vandalized in Uttar Pradesh temple
In Uttar Pradesh, a Shivling and a Nandi idol were vandalized at the Radha Krishna temple, sparking protests from Hindu groups. The incident occurred in the Mohalla Bada Bazar area on Tuesday morning. Devotees who arrived at the temple for worship discovered the damage shortly after 8 a.m. Many people quickly gathered at the site to protest against the attack. Circle Officer Nitish Garg mentioned that police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects. Protesters, including members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, blocked a nearby intersection. They criticized local authorities for not addressing the situation promptly. They were particularly upset that officials had not arrived for several hours after the incident. Around 1 p.m., local officials, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhavna Vimal, visited the temple. They assessed security measures and worked to calm the protesters. Eventually, the crowd agreed to clear the road. Police are actively investigating the vandalism.
