Shooting near Louisville schools injures one, all-clear given
A shooting near two schools in Louisville on Wednesday afternoon left one person injured. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of West Chestnut Street. Louisville Metro Police assured the public that there was no ongoing threat to students or staff at Central High School or Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School. In a social media update, they clarified that there was no "active aggressor" situation in the area. Following the gunfire, dismissal at Coleridge-Taylor was temporarily halted. However, an all-clear was issued by police, allowing the dismissal to resume. Students at Central High School had already been released when the shooting took place.
