ShopRite to open fourth Staten Island supermarket this fall
ShopRite plans to open its fourth supermarket in Staten Island this fall. The new store will be located in a popular shopping center in Great Kills. It will occupy a large space of 62,000 square feet that has been vacant for some time. Construction for the store has already started. Joseph Lowry, a senior vice president at Levin Management Corporation, announced the news. He said the community will benefit from having a supermarket at Evergreen Plaza. The new ShopRite will be managed by Mannix Family Markets, which runs other ShopRite stores in the area. The supermarket will take over the space that was previously occupied by SuperFresh. Lowry mentioned the long partnership with Wakefern Food Corp., the owner of ShopRite. He expressed satisfaction with the expansion of supermarkets in important locations. No specific opening date has been provided, but the store is expected to open in the fall.
