Shubham Wadhwa wins gold at Khelo India Para Games
Shubham Wadhwa from Ludhiana has won a gold medal at the Khelo India Para Games 2025 in New Delhi, held from March 24 to 26. He showed outstanding skill in the final, defeating Madhuram from Rajasthan with a score of 3-0. Despite facing health challenges, Wadhwa is highly motivated. “I am in my poorest health, but my passion for the game drives me to win these medals,” he stated. This victory is his sixth medal within a month, adding to his impressive collection. Prior to the Khelo India games, Wadhwa won two gold medals at the UTT 2nd Para Table Tennis National Ranking Championship. He partnered with Ekta Bhyan and JD Madan, also earning a bronze in singles. Earlier in March, he claimed a silver medal at the ITTF World Para Future Costa Brava Spanish Open after notable quarterfinal and semifinal wins. Wadhwa's success includes multiple medals at previous tournaments, showing his continued excellence in para table tennis.
