Sindh schools to close March 22 for holiday
All educational institutions in Sindh will close on March 22. The closure is to observe Youm-e-Ali, which marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali. This event falls on the 21st of Ramadan each year. The Sindh education department issued a notification confirming the holiday. Both public and private schools will not hold classes on this day. The decision was made by the Sindh sub-committee of the steering committee on education. During Youm-e-Ali, large processions take place across the country to remember Hazrat Ali's sacrifices. This is an important day for many in Pakistan.
