Singapore drug runner sentenced to 27 years in prison
Tan Guosheng, a 31-year-old drug runner in Singapore, was sentenced to 27 years and seven months in prison, along with 15 strokes of the cane, for his role in a drug syndicate. He was paid $1,000 for each drug collection. Tan collected and delivered various drugs, including methamphetamine and MDMA, for key syndicate member Lian Hoe Heng. Lian was previously sentenced to 28 years and nine months for money laundering related to drug trafficking. Tan pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including drug trafficking and possession. He was arrested in October 2020 after being monitored by authorities for his drug activities.
