Singapore therapist sentenced for molesting customer during massage

A massage therapist in Singapore has been sentenced to one year in jail and three strokes of the cane for molesting a female customer. Tan Lok Kiang, a 31-year-old from Malaysia, was convicted after he admitted to one of three molestation charges. The incident occurred at the Sin Kang TCM clinic in the Tanjong Pagar area. The victim visited the clinic for a massage on December 22, 2022. Due to her chosen therapist being unavailable, she was assigned to Tan. During the massage, Tan instructed the victim to remove her shorts, which she did under confusion. After this, he proceeded to touch her inappropriately while massaging her inner thighs. This left the victim shocked and traumatized. Details about the victim, including her name and age, have not been released due to a gag order. The law allows for a jail term and caning for molestation, with penalties up to three years, fines, and caning possible.
