A landline service outage at Singtel has disrupted phone access for thousands, affecting emergency hotlines like 995 and 999. Over 2,500 reports of issues were logged by 3:10 PM. The Singapore Civil Defence Force and police acknowledged the problem and advised the public to use SMS for urgent contact. KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital also reported phone line issues, urging patients to email instead. Singtel confirmed intermittent service problems but stated that mobile services remain unaffected. The company is working to resolve the issue and has apologized for the inconvenience.
