Six additional suspects arrested in Kotturpuram double murder

Chennai police have detained six more suspects in a double murder case in Kotturpuram. This includes two juveniles. The victims, identified as Arunkumar and Padappai Suresh, were hacked to death on Sunday. So far, the police have arrested over a dozen people related to the case. The main suspect, known as 'Sukku Kaapi' Suresh, was among those detained. The suspects reportedly attacked the police when they tried to arrest one of them at Red Hills. According to police, the suspects supported the attackers during the crime. One juvenile provided information that led officers to Arunkumar, who was found drunk at a temple in Kotturpuram. Investigations revealed that Suresh had gone to meet Arunkumar there for drinks. The arrested individuals will be placed in judicial custody after further questioning, stated an investigation officer.
